Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) is a programme under Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications System (WSQ) Training and Adult Education framework. DACE is relevant to practising adult educators, and is a qualification requirement for Curriculum Developers of WSQ Approved Training Organisations. DACE consists of common training-related topics such as assessment, curriculum development and instructional design, as well as other areas such as reflective practice and needs assessment. The programme will also provide participants with the opportunity to specialise in areas such as learning at the work place and e-learning.
Participants of the course will be able understand the nuances of curriculum planning such as building on design sensibilities and having foresight to look at big-picture curriculum considerations before carrying out a courseware development assignment. You will also be equipped with a wide range of instructional strategies through understanding and practicing learning strategies for various types of knowledge and skills acquisition. In addition, you can create valid and credible assessment criteria and specifications and be competent assessment creators. All this learning will be essential and can be applied in real-time work place projects.
DACE will allow you to build up on your existing Advance Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) certification. The ACTA certification is mandatory for competent training professionals to deliver and facilitate training sessions.
